RESEARCH PAPER: Inseego: Smarter Connectivity On The Edge

By Will Townsend, Patrick Moorhead - July 27, 2022

5G promises to bring disruption to the enterprise, elevating the customer experience, and accelerating broad digital transformation. To date, most 5G business use cases center on operational technology (OT) environments. Manufacturing, transportation and logistics, energy, building management, and other “non-carpeted” areas of the enterprise will benefit from 5G’s ultra-low latency, propagation, and massive device support. However, 5G will also support the rise of hybrid work accelerated by the pandemic, especially in geographic areas underserved by fiber. Fixed wireless access (FWA) services offer a new opportunity, evidenced by the recent successful T-Mobile ramp of its 5G Home Internet offering to one million customers within one year of launch.
