Samsara Introduces Multiple Solutions to Improve Complex Physical Operations and Frontline Worker Experiences

By Melody Brue, Patrick Moorhead - July 6, 2023

Samsara has introduced multiple solutions to improve complex physical operations and frontline worker experiences in several sectors, including transportation, waste management, retail, and wholesale. Among these solutions is Mobile Experience Management (MEM), which streamlines mobile device management, offers customized support, and minimizes digital distractions for field workers. Samsara’s Virtual Coach feature uses the Samsara Driver App to deliver timely insights on risky driving behavior, empowering drivers to self-coach and enhancing driver engagement and road safety. Smart Trailer and Asset Tracking solutions provide valuable insights into trailer utilization, temperature, and location, featuring Find My Asset for locating stolen or misplaced assets. By employing IoT data for actionable insights and operational improvements, Samsara enables organizations dependent on physical operations to make informed decisions. Recent announcements indicate the company’s shift from operational and safety data and management to frontline employee engagement, particularly in fleet management, where Samsara executives shared concerns regarding high attrition, difficulty in recruitment, and the average truck driver’s age (over 50). Prioritizing end-user experiences for frontline workers and drivers will enhance product adoption and customer satisfaction, ultimately resulting in better outcomes for Samsara.
